This workshop will bring together our shared scientific and cultural knowledge about plants in a participatory session exploring Walworth Garden. Beginning with an overview of queer ecological thought and how this can be applied to plants, and focusing on distinct and marginalised perspectives, we will fill in a Garden map template with plant locations, drawings, and stories. Attendees will be able to take their maps home with them, in the hope that the exercise prepares them to apply the same methods elsewhere, encouraging an uncovering of other spaces and their stories.
The workshop is open to anyone who would like to participate and is not restricted to an audience that identifies as LGBTQ+.
