Hosted in partnership with Elop, the east London LGBTQ+ mental health organisation, and their 18–25 year old group. Participants must be aged between 18–25 and identify as LGBTQ+.
To attend this event you must sign-up in advance. If you would like to sign-up, email youth@elop.org and you will be given the exact meeting location.
The guided tour tells stories about plants from marginalised perspectives . The project aims to support more diverse representations in the environment and outdoors, and affirm connections between queerness and nature. There will be uneven ground so make sure to wear good walking shoes. There are plants on-site that can be harmful to skin on contact, such as stinging nettles and giant hogweed so dress appropriately (we suggest trousers and long sleeves). During this event COVID 19 rules will be followed.
If you are looking to meet more LGBTQ+ young people and like being in nature this is the event for you! If you have not attended before or have not been in a while please don’t hesitate to join.
